These terms apply to your use of this website and to services provided by Legacy Harbor Publishing LLC ("Legacy Harbor Publishing", "we", "us"). Each project is also covered by a written agreement or quote. If that agreement and these terms differ, the project agreement wins.

1. Our services

We provide writing, editing, design, formatting, publishing support, audio, video, website and marketing services for authors. The exact scope, deliverables, timeline and price for your project are set out in your quote or agreement.

2. Quotes and payment

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Work begins once the agreement is accepted and the first payment is received. Larger projects may be paid in milestones. Late payments may pause work on your project until they are settled.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information and materials on time, to review drafts within the agreed period, and to confirm that anything you give us (text, images, quotes, trademarks) is yours to use or properly licensed.

4. Ownership and rights

Once your project is paid in full, you own the final deliverables created for you, including the manuscript, cover design and illustrations, as described in your agreement. You keep the copyright to your book and 100% of the royalties from its sales. Licensed stock images and fonts remain subject to their license terms, which we pass on to you.

5. Confidentiality

We keep your manuscript and project information confidential and never claim authorship of your work. We may show your finished cover or book in our portfolio only with your permission.

6. Revisions

Each service includes the revision rounds stated in your agreement. Changes that go beyond the agreed scope, such as a new direction after approval, may be quoted separately.

7. Results

We work hard to help your book succeed, but we cannot guarantee sales numbers, rankings, reviews, awards or acceptance by any retailer, agent or publisher, because these depend on factors outside our control.

8. Third-party platforms

Stores such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books and Audible have their own rules, fees and review processes. We are not responsible for their decisions, delays or policy changes.

9. Cancellation

You may cancel a project in writing at any time. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid for that project.

11. Website use

You may not copy, scrape or misuse the content of this website. The Legacy Harbor Publishing name, logo and site content belong to us.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and the federal laws of the United States. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York.
