What is the difference between editing and proofreading?
Editing improves the writing itself: structure, flow, clarity and style. Proofreading is the final check for small errors such as typos and punctuation once the text is finished. Most books need both, at different stages.
Will the editor change my voice?

How long does an edit take?
A line edit of an 80,000 word novel usually takes 3 to 4 weeks. Proofreading is quicker, often 7 to 10 days. Rush options are available.
How is editing priced?
By word count and the level of edit. You get a fixed quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises.
